JMichael has devised a Medical Qigong treatment protocol that is based on the Shaolin technique of “Open the door, remove the thief.” This protocol dissipates the emotional charge around toxic emotions so that a natural flow of energy is restored and optimal physical and emotional health is reestablished. He incorporates techniques from the Hendricks Institute, Medical Qigong protocols, and  Shaolin techniques taught by Master Robert Peng. This protocol has proven effective with over 350 patients and seminar participants and used successfully more than 3,100 times.

Psychological Basis for the Treatment
As we embody toxic emotions by way of stimulus of betrayal, abandonment and rejection, the emotional body reacts with anger and grief. Unless there is a healthy resolution, we begin to embody these toxic emotions. Unresolved anger becomes depression and unresolved grief becomes despair. In order for our psyche to cope, we find methods to dissociate from the original trauma and pain. This emotional survival technique leads to the suppression of these toxic emotional memories and can soon be reflected as disease in the physical body.

The technique for dissipating the emotional charge around a trauma can be done over the phone, but JMichael prefers a face to face session when dealing with severe trauma.

Scope of adjunctive therapy for pathological diseases
JMichael also offers Medical Qigong treatments for energy balancing with specific protocols for a host of internal diseases including adjunctive therapy for various cancers. His specialization includes processes which have been found to be helpful in relieving symptoms of many stress-related disorders including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Obsession, Depression, Grief, Fear and aiding recovery from many pathological diseases. He offers pre- and post-surgery techniques to relieve emotional trauma surrounding the surgery, speed post-op recovery and help reduce scar tissue.

Testimonials

After the first treatment with JMichael, I felt 10 years younger. The amount of stress in my body that was relieved was remarkable. The exercises (breathing and Qigong) he gave me to complete after the treatment helped me keep the stress-related symptoms from recurring. The Song Kong Tong exercise is a life-changing tool for clearing emotional baggage.— S.C.

I began working with JMichael after the sudden death of my father. I was having difficulty taking deep breaths. I learned in my session that sorrow settles in the lungs. After two sessions with him, friends told me the light was back in my eyes. His work is powerful and is delivered in a personable, gentle manner. He has helped me learn simple techniques to heal myself and maintain physical and emotional health. I highly recommend this work for anyone who wants to heal the roots of problems rather than simply treat the symptoms. —L. R.

JMichael Wood is a highly skilled Medical Qigong Master with an ability to feel energy blocks/deviations and to restore proper energy flow. He has a keen sense of detecting emotional blocks and is most helpful in guiding and assisting patients in clearing them if and when they are ready. Medical Qigong has been a great healing modality for me and I am so thankful to have someone with his ability and skill in the Nashville area.— J. Medical Qigong background information

The three pillars of Medical Qigong are posture, breath and intention, which JMichael will use in a treatment session. The mechanics of proper breathwork are taught first, creating ease and flow of breath to provide maximum oxygen to the organs, calm the nervous system and create a healing state of mind. Mental imagery is used to override previous unbalanced breathing techniques and habituate proper breath and posture.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Yin organs, or five major solid organs, hold a group of toxic emotions brought on by emotional and physical trauma. The Heart holds anxiety, shock, unforgiveness, and the long term memory of emotional trauma. The spleen holds worry, obsession and self worth issues. The lungs hold grief, sorrow, shame, guilt and despair. The kidneys hold fear and loneliness. The liver holds anger, rage, jealousy and depression.

The dissipation of the energetic charge around these emotions allows the re-emergence of the human being’s original Spirit (Yuan Shen), and removes the hindrances to spiritual attributes held in each of these organs--from the heart, peace order, forgiveness and love; from the spleen trust, openness and resolution; from the lungs, integrity, righteousness and courage; from the kidneys, wisdom, will power and the ability to root Divine Will to human will; and from the liver, compassion and benevolence.
