TIME: 6:15 to 8:30 P.M.
TUITION: 16-week block - $400, cash or check.

There are four 16 weeks blocks that comprise Medical Qigong Practitioner certification. To receive certification, clinic and extra clinic hours are required plus satisfactory completion of oral, written and practical exams.
This first course is designed to introduce the student to Medical Qigong exercises to maintain health, heal their bodies, calm their minds, and reconnect with their spirit.
The second course is designed to strengthen the body's protective energy field (Wei Qi) and discuss the techniques used to avoid absorbing Toxic Qi while in a clinical environment. The students will also learn basic Medical Qigong treatment protocols for treating clients.
The third course is designed to introduce students to advanced theories of energy purgation, tonification, regulation and cultivation, as well as exercises and meditations used as homework prescriptions in the Medical Qigong Clinic.
In the fourth course the Medical Qigong students will be introduced to advanced theories and clinical modalities of internal organ treatment.
All four courses will run sequentially. Each course is a prerequsite for the next.
TEXTS: Students are to purchase the four text books during the entire Practitioner training, but only books 1 and 4 are required for the first section.

Studying to become a medical qigong practitioner is an integrated step-by-step process. Each class, each internship, and each experience builds on one another — helping you to evolve into the natural healer you long to be and preparing you to work in an integrated health care delivery system.
The certification program is designed to teach the theory and practical application of Medical Qigong Therapy. The program is based upon curriculum that has been established at the Medical Qigong College at the Hai Dian University and used clinically at the Xi Yuan Medical Qigong Hospital in Beijing, China.
Emphasis will be placed on both the analytical/deductive and the intuitive approaches to comprehending and utilizing Medical Qigong Therapy for cultivation, regulation and clinical application. The experiential aspect of the course is well balanced with a solid theoretical foundation.
The Middle Tennessee Branch of the International Institute of Medical Qigong is offering the Practitioner Level Certification course in four 16 week blocks, held once a week.
